What was there before the beginning?
 

That was the question Sam asked at our 10:30 service yesterday.

One of the younger members of the congregation instantly answered “Nothing”, and thats a very common answer to this question…….

But Genesis 1:1 gives us a different answer:

"In the beginning, God..."

Before the world existed, before light, land, oceans or life itself, God was already there.

Sam reminded us that God brought order out of chaos. The earth began as "formless and empty", but through His word, God created purpose, beauty and life.

It's an encouraging reminder for us today. Life can sometimes feel uncertain or chaotic, and as a church we're also in a season of change. But just as God was present at the very beginning, He is present with us now, bringing purpose and guiding us.

Whatever this week holds, let's remember where it all begins...
